"We were looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel within an easy walk to the lift line, and the Lionshead Inn fit the bill beautifully. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable, parking on site, friendly staff. There was no restaurant, but we would have eaten elsewhere anyway...the Little Diner is across the street for breakfast, and all of Vail is a short walk for dinner. "The location is very convenient. I could go to the gondola station by 5min. walk. At the last day, a shuttle bus picked me up at 1:40 PM. The hotel allowed me extended check-out so that I could enjoy ski in the morning and change clothes in my room. Thursday, April 12: Back by popular demand, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals performs at Ford Park, performing at 8:00 pm. Vail Mountain will giveaway a Volvo, so get there early!Friday, April 13: don’t miss Grammy nominees, Thievery Corporation at Ford Park, with their smooth, funky DJ sounds. Gates open at 6 pm, music starts at 6:30 pm. This one will be crowded - get there early!

Sunday, April 15: The annual World Pond Skimming Championships can be seen at Golden Peak at 3 pm - venue opens at 1:30. Witness the true feats of bravery as individuals and teams try their luck at sliding, skimming and skiing across “Lake Golden Peak” in an attempt to cross without falling in!
